Beginning Horsemanship (ages 6+)
Beginning Horsemanship Registration Form
This class is designed for the beginner with an emphasis on the basics of horsemanship including safety, grooming, tacking, horse anatomy, and basic horse care. Students must wear hard soled shoes and long pants. A riding helmet is mandatory and will be provided. A parent or guardian must accompany a child to each lesson and will be asked to sign a permission/release form before the first class.
Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. - Six one-hour group lessons cost $89.00
Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Saturdays, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Texas Tots Horsemanship (ages 4-6)
Everything is big in Texas but this class is designed for little ones. In this class, kids will meet real horses and have the opportunity to learn while having a real big time! Saddles, bridles, horse grooming and safety are all part of the program. Participants must wear close-toe shoes and long pants, and a parent will need to sign a permission form before the first class.
Four 45-minute lessons cost $59
Thursdays, 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.
Saturdays, 9:00 – 9:45 a.m.
Texas Tots Horsemanship II (ages 4-6)
If you and your tot loved Texas Tots Horsemanship, this is more big fun with more learning about horses. In this class, kids will groom, tack and ride! Safety is always a first priority. Participants must wear close-toe shoes and long pants, and we need a signed permission form on file before the first class.

Beginner Horseback Riding I (ages 6+)
Beginner Riding I Registration Form
If you are a beginner student who has taken Beginning Horsemanship or have had previous riding lessons, then this Lesson Class if for you! You will groom and tack a horse in a small group. Instruction is in English or Western riding techniques while on the horse and by observing classmates. Safety is a first priority, that’s why you must wear long pants and hard-soled shoes. A riding helmet is mandatory and will be provided. Pleas make sure you have your Permission/Release Form on file with Sunset Trails.
Six one-hour lessons – $129
Mondays: 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Tuesdays: 7:30 p.m.
Horseback Riding For Adults
Have you always wanted to ride a horse but just haven’t gotten around to it? Or maybe you’ve ridden in the past and would just love to ride again! Now is the time!
This class is all about horses. Saddles, bridles, grooming, safety and much more will be covered in the program. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, and will need to sign a permission form before the first class.
Four one-hour lessons $139
Saturdays: 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

Beginner Horseback Riding II (ages 6+)
Beginner Riding II Registration Form
This class is designed for students who have taken Beginning Horsemanship and Beginner Horseback Riding I. Each student will groom and tack his/her lesson horse and riding will be the majority of the class time. Students will also practice balance and learn more about gaits. Safety is a first priority. Students must wear hard soled shoes and long pants. A riding helmet is mandatory and will be provided. Each student needs to have a permission/release form on file at Sunset before the first class. Six weeks, one lesson per week. Cost is $150.
Six one-hour lessons – $159.
